Are Rani Mukherji and Aditya Chopra married?

Are they seeing each other? Will they marry? When will they marry? Anyone who’s even faintly interested in the gossip that emerges from Bollywood has been wondering about the relationship between actor Rani Mukerji and media-shy filmmaker Aditya Chopra for many years. Well, according to an insider from Yash Raj Films (YRF), Rani and Aditya have been married for several months now. The wedding apparently took place around Diwali last year.
“They didn’t want people to know they are married because Rani has two films releasing this year (Talaash and Aiyya),” says our source. “The news of their wedding might hamper the prospects of the films. They will declare their marriage after the movies release.”
According to insiders, the staff of YRF see Rani as very much part of the Chopra family. “Everyone in YRF addresses her as Bhabhi (sister-in-law),” says our source. “She keeps an eye on the studios and make-up rooms as though they were her own home, and also keeps the YRF employees on their toes.”
The couple recently celebrated Rani’s birthday in London, where the cast and crew of Yash Chopra’s untitled film have been shooting for the past month, adds our source. “Rani cut her birthday cake there with Adi. They kept it a very private affair. Only Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif were invited,” says the insider.
During the film’s shoot, says our source, the couple stayed together at the Four Seasons Hotel, unlike the rest of the unit which was put up at the nearby Washington Mayfair Hotel.
This is Aditya Chopra’s second marriage. The filmmaker and his first wife, his high school sweetheart Payal, divorced in 2009. Despite several attempts to contact Aditya and Rani, they both remained unavailable for comments.

Jism 2 Story, Preview & Synopsis

Jism 2 is an upcoming Bollywood erotic thriller film to be directed by Pooja Bhatt. It is the sequel to the film Jism which had John Abraham and Bipasha Basu in lead roles. The film marks the debut of Indo-Canadian pornographic actress, businesswoman and model, Sunny Leone in Bollywood. Jism 2 was launched on 1 December 2011, on popular Indian television show Bigg Boss, making the launch a first time ever in the history of Indian Cinema. Mahesh Bhatt compared Jism 2 to Italian romance drama Last Tango In Paris.

Plot

A porn star (Sunny Leone) is hired by a dashing intelligence officer (Arunoday Singh) to become a 'Honey-trap' for a dreaded assassin (Randeep Hooda). In doing so, she not only has to confront her bitter-sweet past, but is also forced to make an impossible choice - one that will put her own life in double jeopardy.

Production (Casting)

Producer-director Mahesh Bhatt entered the house of Bigg Boss for a couple of hours to present a contract deal to Sunny to cast her as the lead actress in this sequel of the film Jism. The film will be directed by his producer-actress daughter Pooja Bhatt While Leone plays the female lead, the film will have two male protagonists. Currently Pooja Bhatt has signed Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh as lead actors. Imran Zahid is reportedly playing a role of a narcotics sleuth hailing from Delhi, in the film.

About casting Sunny Leone in the film Pooja Bhatt says,"I signed Sunny Leone for the same reason I signed John Abraham in Jism. It was instinct. I broke the perception that models can't act with Jism. Now, I am looking forward to break another perception by signing Sunny Leone, a pornstar in Jism 2." Stating the differences between Jism and Jism 2 she says,"Jism was a love story for mature audience, Jism 2 is for mature adult audience. We are looking at raising the bar in every sense - emotionally and sensually. It would be the story of human heart, crime of passion, revenge, betrayal, the same elements that made Jism, with a fresh story.

Filming

Filming began on 1 April 2012 in Jaipur. The second schedule of Jism 2 was shot in Goa. The last and final shooting schedule of Jism 2 was shot in Sri Lanka The sequel will hit the screens on 3 August 2012.

Musical Promos

The first Musical Promo of Jism 2 titled 'Yeh Jism hai to kya' was given an A-certificate by the Censor Board and so the promo was not permitted to air on TV. And this infuriated Pooja Bhatt to no end. That's the reason why Pooja decided to put her foot down and decided to release the Uncensored Promo of Jism 2 on Internet. Pooja also said further,"We have six songs in Jism 2. Only three cater to a universal audience without losing their essence. The other three cannot be made to seem asexual! Hence, we will only submit to the censor board and plug on TV those songs of Jism 2 what we feel is appropriate for a family audience". The first Musical Promo was released on 29 June and got rave reviews and was a huge hit on Youtube garnering 1 million views in just 5 days. And the Censor Board infuriated Pooja Bhatt further by granting the second song of Jism 2 titled 'Abhi Abhi' which has absolutely no adult content a U/A certificate. The Songs and cinematography go hand in hand with what was expected out of it. Well written melodious songs are a hallmark of the Jism series and it does not disappoint.

Tracklist

The music of the film was composed by Arko Pravo Mukherjee. The album has 7 tracks.

1. Abhi Abhi-1 (K K)
2. Hey Walla (Unoosha)
3. Abhi Abhi-2 (K K, Shreya Ghoshal)
4. Darta Hoon(Adhoora)(Rushk)
5. Yeh Jism (Ali Azmat)
6. Maula (Ali Azmat)

Reception

Salman Khan's “Ek Tha Tiger” lands in fresh Trouble

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Yash Raj Films’ most awaited movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ has landed in a fresh trouble despite a warm reception of its promos and songs. As per reports, Vikram Vashishtha, the nephew of a real life spy Late Ravindra Kaushik, has sent a legal notice to the production company asking for a special screening of this film. Vashishtha claims that the character played by Salman Khan in the movie has great resemblance with Ravindra Kaushik, his late maternal uncle, who was with RAW (Research Analysis Wing). As per him, the promos of “Ek Tha Tiger” bear a remarkable resemblance to his uncle's experiences in Pakistan who had an affair with a Pakistani girl and eventually fought for the country as well as for his love.
Hence his family has sought legal assistance to either have a look at the original script or view the film before it releases giving the reason that since Shashi Vashishtha, the mother of Vikram is (late) Ravindra's only sister, the family has the full right to either go through the certified screenplay or watch it prior to national and international release.

Telling the life story of his maternal uncle Vikram says that the late Intelligence Officer displayed his talent at the national level dramatic meet in Lucknow, which was also witnessed by some officials of the Intelligence Wing who then contacted and offered him a job for the secret intelligence in Pakistan. Later, he was sent to Pakistan for the purpose and died in 2002.

The film is about the journey of a Bollywood actress and is set to hit theatres on September 14. The film includes item number ‘Halkat Jawani’ by Kareena. ‘Heroine’ also stars Arjun Rampal as a popular filmstar and Randeep Hooda as a cricketer.

After Rajesh Khanna's demise on Wednesday, several film events were postponed. Accordingly, the trailer of Heroine, which was to be launched on Saturday, was also been carried over to avoid coinciding with the veteran's ‘chautha’ (fourth day prayer ceremony). Buzz is that the trailer will now be launched on July 25.

Salman Khan's "Ek Tha Tiger" - A Preview

Yash Raj Film’s Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ is the most awaited upcoming film for now. Kabir khan directed this movie is basically a romantic thriller. Earlier the film was scheduled to release on 1 June, 2012, but since Aamir Khan is coming with a film on the same day, he requested Salman Khan & Aditya Chopra to reallocate ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ to contain this release. Keeping his request, release of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ was postponed to 15th Aug. Story of the film is something like this. ‘Tiger’ is the codename of a top secret agent with the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), India’s external intelligence agency played by Salman Khan, who has been assigned the mission to observe a scientist (of Indian origin) from the Trinity College Dublin, Ireland who is suspected of selling missile technology secrets to Pakistan.
During his mission Tiger falls in love with Zoya (Katrina Kaif), the caretaker of the Professor. Zoya is studying at a fictional dance academy. Tiger has to move from Dublin to Istanbul then to Kazakhstan and Chile for the mission.

Why Rajesh Khanna's Lady Love wants rights over 'Ashirwad'

After the demise of the yesteryear superstar Rajesh Khanna, everyone's eyes are now on his residence Ashirwad where he had spent his memorable moments in life.

While, the reports suggested that the bungalow will be converted into a museum, Kaka's ladylove, Anita Advani, who was said to be his Live-in partner has sent a legal notice in order to safeguard her possession and against her possible eviction from Ashirwad.

The legal notice has been sent to the family of Rajesh Khanna on Tuesday, the day when the actor took his last breath at his residence, which is located in Carter Road, Mumbai.

The conflict between Anita and Khanna's clan is now open. Anita is said to be Kaka's companion during his twilight years when the actor was frustrated and depressed.

However, Kaka's family has been trying to oust Anita from Ashirwad, where she has been living with the superstar for last 8 years.

The cold war between Kaka's family and Anita came into public notice during the funeral procession of the actor on Thursday when she tried to climb into the vehicle carrying his body. However, Akshay Kumar, the son-in-law of Khanna, asked her to get off as the vehicle was only for family members.

Sources said that Khanna's family had shared a bitter relationship with Anita. Even Kaka was staying with his daughter and even his estranged wife Dimple Kapadia had been taking care of the actor in the final stages of his life.

Ek Tha Tiger's Satellite Rights sold at Rs 75 crore

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer most discussed upcoming film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ has again created a buzz as a latest report has suggested that the satellite rights of the film has been sold out at Rs. 75 crore. If this is true, so far this is the biggest amount paid for a Bollywood film for its satellite rights. 75 crore rupees is such a big amount that the total invested amount for a current Bollywood film can be earned by merely selling its satellite rights. On the other hand Sneha Rajani, Senior Executive Vice President and Business Head of Sony Entertainment Television says, "Let me set the record straight. Sony had clinched the deal for the Satellite Rights of Ek Tha Tiger almost 15 to 16 months ago, not last week or in the recent past.
In fact, we clinched the deal even before the Yash Raj commenced filming Ek Tha Tiger. Besides, do you think we would've paid this ridiculous price 15-16 months ago? We wouldn't settle for it even today." Earlier, the satellite right for Ajay Devgan acted ‘Singham’ was sold for Rs. 18 crore and Hrithik Roshan acted ‘Agneepath’ for Rs. 41 crore. His ‘Krrish 2’ has already been sold for Rs 38 crore. When these type topnotch films does not crosses 50 crore for its satellite rights, the news of ‘EK Tha Tiger’ achieving this giant amount is hardly believable. Of course, if the Salman factor works amazingly, this is not a big deal.

Aamir Khan's Son to Direct Upcoming Film 'Peekay'

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s son Junaid is all set to begin his career in Bollywood as a director. He will assist director Raj Kumar Hirani to direct his father and Anushka Sharma acted upcoming film ‘Peekay’. Junaid would be the first assistant to Hirani for the film. A report from Bollywood grapevine also suggests that Junaid loves filmmaking and has a very keen eye for details. Anil Kapoor’s nephew Arjun Kapoor also had started his film career as an assistant director and producer who later stepped into acting. So it is also possible that Junaid may follow his footstep in future. More than that, the 17 year guy is also blessed with a star father who could easily launch him in the industry. Shooting for ‘Peekay’ will be started around the end of this year and the film is slated for release in 2013. As a call of this directorial assignment, Junior Khan is at the moment finalizing locations for the film. The film will be shot in a lot of outdoor locations all across India. Junaid was a regular on the sets of Aamir’s films and has often been seen to have a nose for learning filmcraft. It is also heard that Junaid was always more excited with the craft of filmmaking rather than acting.

Madhur Bhandarkar's "Heroine" gets 'A' Certificate

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar's dream project "Heroine", starring Kareena Kapoor, has got an A certificate from the Censor Board. This controversial flick is always in headlines for one reason or other. Madhur, who has cut a hard-hitting trailer with Kareena involved in smoking and drinking in the promo was treated as a dark one. But Madhur, who has almost wrapped up shooting the film, is barely surprised. Previously, Fashion too released with an ‘A’ rating. He had expected it already, as a film which is loosely based on the reality behind the world of glitz and glamour, will get an A certificate.
"As expected got an "A" certificate from the censor board. Countdown begins for the launch of the poster and promo of Heroine," Bhandarkar posted on his Twitter page.
The movie ‘Heroine’, aims to focus on the life of an actor beyond the external layers of glamour. "Heroine" earlier ran into trouble when the then leading lady Aishwarya Rai Bachchan backed out of the project due to her pregnancy after shooting some scenes. Bhandarkar later roped in Kareena for the role.
Bhandarkar is famous for his reality inspired films like "Chandni Bar", "Page 3", "Satta", "Corporate" and "Fashion". The subject in most of his films revolves around the glamour world in an attempt to lay bare its darker, lesser-known aspects. The movie also stars Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda and is scheduled to hit the theatres on September 14.

Sherlyn Chopra to shoot for Playboy magazine

Sherlyn Chopra, who had earlier hit the headlines for tweeting her complete nude photos, has achieved a big sort as she get a chance to pose for the renowned adult magazine ‘Playboy’. Currently Sherlyn is in Los Angeles for the shooting for the adult magazine this week and she has reportedly gone through hair and make-up trial sessions. She arrived in LA last week and apparently took up residence at Hugh Hefner's mansion for a few days. She has become an integral part of Hefner’s inner circle and joined him in the American Independence Day celebrations which he hosted last week. The bad girl is very much excited for the explicit shoot of her nudity. The blatant Bollywood starlet Sherlyn has been posting her nude pictures non-stop on her Twitter account of an earlier nude shoot. Sherlyn is obviously delighted about the accomplishment. Posting a picture with Hefner in the Playboy Mansion, she tweeted: "The most compassionate man on planet Earth!" Sherlyn now describes herself as a "Playboy Girl" on Twitter. However, the ‘love to be nude’ girl has been reportedly criticized for this attempt by some people, who have criticized her act to be a shameful one for money and cheap fame.

Cocktail - A Complete Review

‘Cocktail’ is another conventional love-triangle genre movie but performed well by the trio Saif, Deepika and Diana. The film is an out and out haunt only for the metro audience, it has nothing to do for rest of the viewers. Homi Adajania directed ‘Cocktail’ is a nice entertaining comedy with a number of sparking moments, but bit stretched in the second half. While Deepika Padukone is perfect as a party loving city girl, Diana Penty has presented well herself as a weeping girl-next-door and Saif Ali is at his usual ole ole style. Gautam (Saif Ali Khan), the playboy in the film is seen in a flight at the beginning, who doesn't even miss a chance to get close to hot women around. Meera (Diana Penty) is the sweet, elfin lady and hottie Veronica (Deepika Padukone) is the real hot-cake in her smashing avatar sure to enthrall millions.

Coming to the plot, Things improve for the feeble Meera after she meets the wild cat Veronica, who gives her shelter at her home in London. Though diametrically opposed, in terms of character, the two females start dwelling under the same roof in London. Gautam, who gets a dream job in London, too moves in with them and starts living with the beautiful-two.
The twist comes when the game of love begins. ‘He loves her, she does not, but another ‘She’ loves him’. So much confusion, right? Yes, that is the story about, and obviously that is why it got the title ‘Cocktail’.
‘Cocktail’ is Homi Adajania’s second attempt in direction. Although it could be slightly better, but at this point of his expertise, it is alright. Well, it is an inspired story and several films of such genre have been made earlier, till there are some enchanting moments.
Cinematographer Anil Mehta has caught some nice shots on camera. Pritam’s songs for the movie suit the situation well. ‘Tum hi ho Bandhu’ is a smash-hit. Performance of all the characters basically the lead three are commendable. Of course Deepika Padukone as Veronica is the real hero of the film.
Also dialogue and drama compositions are excellent. In short, besides the ‘ghisha-pitaa’ story, all other aspects of ‘Cocktail’ are amusing except the prolonged second half.

Dara Singh, who won the title of Rustam-e-Hind for his wrestling achievements, had joined the Hindi Film industry in the 1960s. Although he did many roles throughout the years, his 'Hanuman' character in Ramanand Sagar's "Ramayan" made him quite popular among the masses.

Dara Singh has three sons and three daughters. Born to Balwant Kaur and Surat Singh Randhawa on 19 November 1928 in the village Dharmuchak of Amritsar district in Punjab, Dara Singh was nominated to Rajya Sabha by BJP during August 2003 – 2009.

IBN-Cobra Post exposes Black Money in Bollywood

The real Dirty Picture of Bollywood came to light when a sting operation carried out by the IBN Cobrapost, exposed the investment of black money in the film industry.

The Cobrapost-IBN Network titled 'Expose of Bollywood's Black Money Business Model' revealed that how black money is being invested in films and how top filmmakers and directors are approaching investors who want to launder their black money.

The producers like Anubhav Sinha, Vashu Bhagnani, Anees Bazmee are among those, who were captured on the camera by the Cobrapost-IBN Network Investigation.

Anubhav Sinha, who is one of the biggest successful filmmakers, has put a big space for the investors, who are laundering their black money. Sinha, who has directed the most expensive film 'Ra One', is the king of music videos. But all his films have been made with the investment of black money. He takes the credit for the film, but the ghost investors are the real men behind the success. However, their names are not mentioned on film posters or even hoardings.

Vashu Bhagnani, who takes the credit for the films like 'Coolie No 1', 'Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan', 'Do Knot Disturb' and 'Faltu', is another face caught on the secret camera.

The much-celebrated director Aneez Bazmee and writer Rajiv Kaul are not clean in the industry. The expose showed how they were accepting cash for films.

We can recall the Wikileaks cable on Bollywood and black money, which had hinted at the black money investment in Hindi film industry. It had said that Bollywood has been associated with the Mumbai underworld. It welcomes funds from gangsters and politicians. It had also said that the films are financed by ghost investors; many are from the construction and trade firms, with high interest rates.

The WikiLeaks's drafts appear to be true and the real picture of the film industry was finally unmasked.

Here is the complete conversation of Bollywood's top producers with the IBN Cobrapost's under cover reporter. The expose will show how they attract investors by promising to convert their black money into white.

Anubhav Sinha

Sinha: I can assure you that if you put 5 rupees in say two films…then I'll definitely make 6 of the 5 in one year.

Reporter: ok, ok

Sinha: And after the success of the film - you get a profit of 10 per cent or 11 per cent

Reporter: Profit sharing - Yes, yes that's what I want.

Sinha: Yes but it mostly happens that people invest but their name doesn't come even on the posters of the film so in your case also we should do something like that since you are so secretive.

Reporter: It's better to be safe

Sinha: Yes if anyone asks me from where it's come…I won't tell anyone. I meet a lot of people who want to invest in my company…they never lose money.

Sinha: Now tell me how much amount are you comfortable with to invest

Reporter: You tell me sir…I think I want to start with 15…and in that how much of black or cash do you want and how much white?

Sinha: Can you give 50 per cent by check

Reporter: No sir, we can't give more than 25 per cent by check

Sinha: Hmmm....

So, the deal would involve only 25 per cent white money… the rest all black. And as emphasized by Sinha himself, the investor would be a 'ghost investor' with no mention of his name either on film posters or even hoardings. The deal now goes to the next level where our undercover reporter is taken to meet Sinha's chartered account.

Sinha: You can ask him all the questions - (points to the CA)

Middleman: I am the coordinator - I'll just explain… these people mostly have cash and want to do a contract that is 80 per cent by cash and 20 per cent by check.

Reporter: Or 25 per cent 75 per cent

CA: There are lots of expenses in films where we need cash…so we can put the money there and return it by cheque

Sinha and his associates make it clear – it's easy to exploit the film industry to convert black money into white. The black money is used to cover unaccounted production costs, even under-the-table actor fees. The investor later paid back in check from the film's profits. And top directors like Sinha who aid this process take their cut from the investor's profits.

Vashu Bhagnani

Bhagnani: I have many ways to make black money white...but the person needs to be genuine. We should not get caught by income tax officials.

Reporter: So if I have to give you 10 crores, how much in check and how much in cash?

Bhagnani: 8 crores cash and 2 crores check…the paper work will be there only for 2 crores.

Bhagnani: For the case we'll give you distribution rights of the film for 3 states.

Reporter: So we'll start a company to deal with you

Bhagnani: Then we'll do an agreement with you that is similar to what's going on for the past 50-60 years, after you recover your initial investment…whatever profit comes we'll take 50-50…PATCH and you’ll get your money in check.

Bhagnani: So on release when you get your money…you can give me cash…no need for any paper work and you're also the distributor of the film.

The deal Vashu Bhagnani offers is simple – the investor buys the distribution rights of a film, paying mainly in cash or black money. On paper, these distribution rights are sold for a much lower amount. After the film's release, the investor claims the box office returns as 'clean' or white money. Bhagnani benefits from the deal by getting a 50 per cent share of any profit that is made.

Vashu Bhagnani in fact made a direct offer to our undercover reporter – saying he could buy the all India distribution rights of his upcoming films for a sum of 100 crore rupees.

Bhagnani: On 13th I'm starting a film 'Ajab Gajab Aur Love' – there is Jackie, Kiron Kher, Sanjay Arshad Warsi and Arjun Rampal

Bhagnani: For 100 crores I'll give you rights for 18 films.

Bhagnani: I won't take the money now…I'll tell you the right stage…in installments for the different films

Reporter: Is this a safe way?

Bhagnani: Not just safe…but you'll automatically also become popular. You'll also work with other filmmakers. I think by this method your money becomes white and you also get the perfect value.

Anees Bazmi and Rajeev Kaul

Location: Juhu hotel, Mumbai

Time: 2 pm

A secret meeting is underway. On the agenda – how to convert crores of black money into white using the Bollywood route. Those present at this meeting are two of commercial cinema's biggest names.

Anees Bazmee, director of mega hits - No Entry, Singh is King and Ready and Rajeev Kaul, veteran writer and the man who scripted big hits like Dil, Beta, Welcome and Ready.

Also present – Cobrapost’s undercover reporter posing as an Investor wanting to launder his black money.

Reporter: Sir our problem is that we have more cash available – more black money – so that's what we want to adjust

Anees: No problem, give as much cash as you want and as much cheque

Rajeev: I've told him (reporter) that you can give some cash now…and the cheque later

Reporter: What's important for us is that the money we are putting through the film business we will be able to convert it to white.

Rajeev: I've told you that we'll get in a corporate to join us and that way it will be easy for you

Reporter: Anees saab what will your advance be?

Anees: 5 crores - 4 crores - I crore by cheque

Reporter: So for all the cash we are paying…will we get something in written?

Anees: How is that possible?

Reporter: No something - some authenticity

Anees: When we buy a flat – if its 10000 per square ft we give cash 4000 and on agreement it's just 6000 per sq ft.

Reporter: Yah but that's property

Anees: It's exactly similar to the property business.

Anees Bazmee explains that black money plays the same role in the film industry and in real estate. He says up to 60 per cent of the money invested in a film is black money. Just 40 per cent is legal white money. Bazmee also hints at how in spite of corporate money now coming in, black money continues to play a big role in financing films… as writer Rajeev Kaul explains in detail.

Reporter: 30-35 crores of our will be in black

Rajeev: Yes, you can keep investing both black and white together. With both the black and white we'll have about 40

Reporter: hmmm

Rajeev: For the rest of the 20 we'll rope in a corporate and the corporate will give us the payment through white…so our money will get white also and we’ll get profit as well.

Reporter: Okay

Rajeev: So the advantage will be that the corporate will release it…and also get the white funding.

Reporter: So no tension

Sandeep Marwah

Sandeep Marwah runs a film institute and studio in Noida's Film City. He assured Cobrapost's undercover reporter that using his family relations with Boney Kapoor and Anil Kapoor he could finalise a film project with them in which black money could easily be put to use.

Marwah: I can speak to Boney this evening itself… he is the one who handles all the production but you need to tell me a bit about yourself

Reporter: I'll do one thing sir…I'll tell my CA to register a company…and we can use that company name to work with you.

Reporter: We don't know much about movies…we will do as you advise…but in terms of the payment…we will do 90 per cent in black and only 10 per cent in cheque…

Marwah: No problem… But to begin with – you must pay off 5-10 lakhs asap…so we can proceed with the project

Reporter: ok ok

Sandeep Marwah, veteran producer of around 70 films, confirms on camera that black money is common currency in the film business. Our next stop – a hotel in Juhu, Mumbai.

Marwah reacts to the sting operation: "Corporatisation has ensured that black money is not involved in films."

Meet Shailesh R Singh, producer of films like 'Tanu Weds Manu' and 'Bas Ek Pal' – right now finalizing a black money deal with our undercover reporter.

Reporter: How much cash and how much by check? How much of black will you take?

Shailesh: Even 80 per cent cash will do?

Reporter: How much will we have to give Irfaan?

Shailesh: We'll have to give him 25 lakhs at least as the signed amount – white

After claiming that he would sign Irfaan Khan for his film, he goes on to tell our reporter that actors too, prefer to be paid more in black money than white, also confirming the terms of their money laundering deal.

Reporter: But how much will he take by cash?

Shailesh: At least 1.5 crores…that you can give full cash - no tension

Reporter: No problem

Shailesh: He prefers cash…

Reporter: So the money that we invest say – 15 crores – how will we get it in return?

Shailesh: You want a cheque right? We'll give you a check…and you can register profit and pay tax.

Reporter: And how much profit per cent will I get

Shailesh: Whatever I get – you'll get 1/3rd of it – 35 per cent

Shailesh Singh also claims that liquor Baron Ponty Chadha – recently under the scanner of the Income Tax Department had invested in his previous film – Tanu Weds Manu - as a distributor.

Reporter: Is that what happened in Tanu Weds Manu as well?

Shailesh: Ponty Chadha had invested in the Delhi, UP theatres.

Shailesh: got bonus (profit im guessing)

Reporter: So Ponty Chadha got the profits by cheque…that must be white money…

Film Producer Shailesh Singh confirming on camera yet again... that film financing is indeed a safe route for money laundering... the transaction benefiting the investor… and the film producer.

Shailesh Singh chose not to respond to the allegations.

Payal Rohatgi, Sangram Singh and Arti Chhabria's parents

Payal Rohtagi, who was the guest appearence in the films like 'Corporate', 'Heyy Baby' and '36 China Town', was also captured on hidden camera. Cobrapost's undercover reporter met them posing as a film financier, looking to sign the couple as lead actors. When the discussion for payments begin, Payal is clear that she expects to be paid mainly in black!

Reporter: We've spoken about 30 lakhs as payment – how do you want it? – How much in black i.e. cash?

Payal: We just want 5 lakhs in check

Reporter: So 5 lakhs in check and 25 lakhs cash?

Reporter: But last night you mentioned something about 25 per cent?

Payal: No what I meant is 25 lakhs cash and just 5 lakhs in cheque.

Sangram and Payal expect to be paid 30 lakhs each, but only 5 lakh each on paper. Payments in black seem routine in Bollywood.

Reacting to the sting operation, Rohatgi said: "There is nothing called black money in the industry today."

It's the same story at the residence of actor Aarti Chabbaria – seen in films such as 'Shootout at Lokhandwala', 'Partner' and 'Shaadi No 1'. Our undercover reporter is there to offer her a role in a film… he is met by her parents Dr Ashok and Sunita Chabbaria.

Sunita: We mostly take Aarti's payments half white – half black

Reporter: Increase the ratio (of white?) a bit?

Sunita: Ok we can do 60-40

The Chabbaria's also explain how the cash or black money deals are conducted…

Dr Ashok C: The agreement will be in white only

Reporter: So what about the black? What is the guarantee on that…

Dr AC: That will be a temporary agreement once the money is received and the deal is done…we'll tear it up

Reporter: Tear it up? Ok

It's an illegal but mutually beneficial deal. In what remains a largely unorganized business unaccounted or black money is clearly the preferred currency in which to do business in Bollywood!

Aarti Chabbaria chose not to respond to the sting operation. While lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani said: "It's a wonderful expose. Film industry should not be singled out. Black money is so endemic that nobody turns away anybody."
