Bol Bachchan - A Complete Review

Director Rohit Shetty’s 'Bol Bachchan' is remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s classic 'Gol Maal' (1979), which can be described as unbeatable film that the industry has ever produced. However, the later version is opposite of everything what the original stands for.

'Bol Bachchan' has tried to excel in the world of comedy, but the new film hardly leaves an image in the mind of the audiences. Of course, junior Bachchan's fans will appreciate his performance as a comic hero.

The film is loud, filled with jokes, which really make u laugh.

The film revolves around Abbas (Abhishek Bachchan), who is suffering from financial problem and takes the help of his Shastri's (Asrani). He moves to Ranakpur, where he is seeking a job to take care of himself and his sister Sania (Asin).

It is said that a lie may save you at present, but will spoil your future. This time Abbas lies to the most powerful man of Ranakpur, Prithviraj (Ajay Devgn), who is a lie hater.

If someone lies to him, he makes his sure that he is left with no future. Abbas is working as a supervisor with Prithviraj. But the situation compels him to say a series of lies in front of the powerful man.

Abbas now is in dilemma as he has been continuously telling his boss lie. A single person acting as two different entities creates a big problem for him. He wants to get rid of the trouble, but he is helpless in front of situation.

The best thing of Rohit Shetty's latest BOL BACHCHAN is it doesn't fall in the predictable zone. It can be the remake of Gol Mal, but has been produced giving a modern touch and conecept. Rohit has absolute command over all factors and doesn't allow the film to go out of hand at any juncture.

The music directed by Himesh Reshammiya and Ajay-Atul is superb. 'Chalao Na Nain' and the title track in which Sr Bachchan appears is also applauded.

Asin's role might be short, but her amiable looks and stimulating smile add to her charisma. Prachi Desai is looking hot and the film is an opportunity to showcase her talent.

Krushna Abhishek is supremely talented and it's unmistakably obvious in this movie. His comic timing is perfect. Neeraj Vora is superb. No need to comment on Archana Puransingh, who is always superb. Asrani is, once again, wonderful, adding so much credibility to the sequences.

We can say BOL BACHCHAN as a whole is a dhamaal entertainer. This is the film that pays homage to the cinema of 1970s and 1980s.
